On July 22, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev presided over the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, dedicated to the results of the country's socio-economic development in the first half of 2009, AzerTaj news agency reported.
The head of state made opening remarks to the gathering.
Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Agriculture Minister Ismat Abbasov, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Huseyngulu Bagirov and Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev made reports on the socio-economic results of the first half of the year.
The president delivered a final speech at the meeting.
