The United States will always be close to Georgia and will never leave it, U.S. Vice-President Joseph Biden said at the reception organized at the residence of the President of Georgia.

"I want to personally express support to Georgia. The reason why President Obama has sent me here to assure you that the United States will always be next to Georgia, we will never leave you ", - he said in his speech.

Biden thanked the President of Georgia for the warm welcome and noted that, despite the fact that there is no perfect situation in Georgia, but forward movement is felt. "Voice of the Georgian people - call for democracy, it went out of Georgian borders", - he said.

The Vice President stressed the merits of the Georgian military in the fight against terrorism. "The United States will help Georgia in addressing the problem of security, strengthening democracy, economic development, as well as to establish closer ties between our  peoples", - he stressed.

Joseph Biden noted the role of Georgia in the future of the region.

"For the success of Georgia, the desire of Georgia to be a sovereign, independent and democratic country", - Vice-President of the USA declared the toast.
