According to the latest information, incumbent Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiev has received 1 million 380,079 votes (85.92 percent of the total votes), the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission for Elections and Referendums said (CEC), 24.kg information agency reports.
It is noted that voting results had been counted in 1,635 election districts (70.17 percent) by 15:00. Roughly 2,330 election districts were set up to conduct elections in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
According to the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission, opposition candidate and Social-Democratic party leader, Almazbek Atambayev, ranked second place (7.43 percent), Ak-Shumkar party leader Temir Sariyev received 2.59 percent, doctor Zhenishbek Nazaraliyev (0.5 percent) and Head of the Non-Governmental and Non-Commercial Organization Coalition, Toktayim Umetaliyev,(0.39 percent), Zhoomart movement leader Nurlan Motuyev (0.31 percent).
According to the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission, 1.94 percent of people have voted against of all the candidates.
According to the Kyrgyz Central Election Commission, a total of 79.38 percent of the electorate (2 million 301,292 people) who are registered in the Republic took part in voting. This information is being defined more accurately but should not change significantly.
