"Georgia fully meets NATO criteria politically. It is necessary to bring Georgian military potential with alliance standards. The USA will assist Georgia on this regards, Georgian ambassador to the USA Batu Kutelia said.
"Major aim of Georgian-U.S partnership is to meet all political and military NATO criteria. It was major topic of Biden's visit. It was stated that partner military cooperation between Washington and Georgia will more intensify," Kutelia told media.
On the second day of Biden's visit, high-ranking official of the U.S state department Phillip Croule stated that Washington is ready to intensify military cooperation with Georgia and assist Georgian to achieve NATO standards on armaments.
Georgian Defense Minister David Sikharulidze confirmed that military cooperation between Georgia and the USA were established long ago. Working groups were set up to intensify cooperation. "The charter envisages this cooperation drawn up by both countries and assist in joining NATO," minister said.
