Nine people killed in traffic accident in Turkey

Nine people were killed and one other injured in a traffic accident in southern Turkey on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

The report said that this traffic tragedy took place on the highway between Mersin and Tarsus early Thursday morning when two cars collided with two trucks, leaving eight people dead on the spot and two seriously injured, reported Xinhua.

The two injured were rushed to a state hospital for treatment, but one died in the hospital, added the report.
