President of Azerbaijan receives credentials of Italy’s Ambassador
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on Friday received credentials of the newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan Mario Giorgio Stefano Baldi, AzerTaj reported.
Head of the Azerbaijani State hailed current bilateral relations between the two countries, noting these relations cover numerous fields. The President stressed good understanding and political support between Azerbaijan and Italy, emphasizing there was larger potential to enhance bilateral cooperation. President Aliyev said "Italy was one of the important partners of Azerbaijan on international arena" and expressed hope the new ambassador`s diplomatic activity will make notable contribution to these ties.
Ambassador Mario Giorgio Stefano Baldi, in turn, noted close contacts between business circles of both countries and hoped for future partnership.
