Head of the government Karim Masimov introduced a new head of the statistical agency at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 27. Alikhan Smailov was appointed a new chairman of the Kazakh state agency.
"Chairman of the agency Anar Meshimbayeva dismissed on her own will. I approved her decision," Masimov said.
Prime-Minister signed the governmental decision on appointment of deputy minister of finances Alikhan Smailov - a new chairman of the agency. Smailov, 37, has headed the statistical agency before. He worked in the presidential administration, the foreign ministry and took other positions in state bodies.
