Azerbaijani President inspects reconstruction work in Heydar Aliyev Culture & Rest Park in Ismayilli Region
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inspected today here the reconstruction works done in the Heydar Aliyev culture and rest park, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
President Ilham Aliyev was told that the park was named after Heydar Aliyev in 1998 on the occasion of the national leader`s 75th birthday.
The 9-hectare park got about 6 thousand trees and flower bushes brought from Germany, Italy and Turkey.
Here, the Head of State and his spouse familiarized themselves with the children`s creative work center.
They also toured the "Japan garden" which was built for the first time in Azerbaijan in Ismayilli.
Japanese ambassador Masamitsu Oki informed the President and First Lady on the garden and sakura trees planted here.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse got acquainted with the Museum of History and Ethnography.
The Head of State also familiarized himself with the club of sports and entertainment and other facilities in the Park.
