Estonian Interior Ministry visits Tbilisi

The Estonian Interior Minister, Mark Pomerantz, arrived in Georgia with a working visit. During the visit, Pomerantz will get familiarization with the work of the local Interior Ministry and discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported.

The Estonian Interior Minister, Mark Pomerantz, arrived in Georgia with a working visit. During the visit, Pomerantz will get familiarization with the work of the local Interior Ministry and discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported.

During the visit, Pomerantz will meet with the Georgian Interior Minister, Vano Merabishvili, the rector of the Academy of the Georgian Interior Ministry, Khatia Dekanoidze, the head of the Georgian Border Guard, Zaza Gogava, Director of the Georgian Patrol Police, Giorgi Grigalashvili and other officials.

The parties will discuss the development of the bilateral cooperation between the ministries of the two countries to work together to combat terrorism, international crime, illicit arms and drugs.

The visit will also focus on training of Georgian officers in the Police Academy in Estonia.

This is the first visit of the Estonian Interior Minister to Georgia. It will last by Nov. 4.
