Georgia is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine as the influenza epidemic worsens in the country.
Georgian Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili and Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia Basil Tsybenko reached the agreement during a meeting this week, the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia reported.
The sides agreed that in the near future a cargo plane with medicines and medical equipment will be sent to Ukraine to help combat an increasing number of influenza cases.
Georgia also expressed willingness to send specialists to virus-infected areas to provide medical aid.
