Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili hailed the EU statement on kidnapping of the Georgian teens in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict at the meeting of National Security Council.

"Today, the EU, albeit belatedly, made a clear statement condemning the kidnapping of children, which can only be welcomed," Saakashvili said.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the Georgia - EU agreement on visa facilitation.

"The document that is designated to facilitate our citizens' lives is very important for us," he said.

Saakashvili noted that the document on the visa regime will allow the Georgian citizens to avoid the queue and the humiliation which they faced on the borders. "

The president called on the Georgian Foreign Ministry to conduct more active work on the document and hoped that decision on free trade with Europe will be introduced soon.
