Iran's Border Service new Commander Maj. Gen. Hussein Zulfugar is on visit to Baku, Spokesman to the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari told Trend today.
"Zulfugar visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Azerbaijani State Border Service Chief, commander of border troops, Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev," he said adding that the Iranian official will take part in the meeting of heads of Caspian countries border services in Baku.
Zulfugar was appointed commander of Iran's Border Service on Nov.18. Previously, he served as deputy commander of Iran's police and headed of Iran's police academy, the ILNA news agency reported.
