Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has visited a chess school in Shamakhi, AzerTaj state information agency reported today.
Azerbaijani President was informed that the school built in 1986 has not been repaired over the last years.
Overhaul of the school was launched on the initiative and support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in May 2009.
Restoration operations have been already completed.
Total area of the two-storey building hits 2,116 square meters.
There are seven chess rooms, a room for trainings and other facilities.
After reconstruction the school was equipped with modern inventory and equipment and computers.
