The Azerbaijani Students Union thinks that top students should study in Georgian universities. The union's representatives held a meeting today with Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University Rector Giorgi Hubua.
The meeting was devoted to the initiative of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who said Georgian-language requirements on the unified national examination should be lowered for national minorities who studied in local high schools.
Azerbaijani students said the initiative is timely.
Hubua in turn welcomed the understanding of the students and said he will be pleased to see more students at Georgian universities from among national minorities.
