Discussion on Azerbaijan is expected at the regular meeting of the PACE Monitoring Committee, which will be held on December 17 in Paris, PACE's web site reported.

According to report, co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Joseph Debono Grech and Andres Herkel will exchange their views with members of the Committee on the latest advancements and development in the country.

In addition, the report of the Committee ad hoc of the National Assembly of Armenia "Investigation into the events of March 1-2, 2008 in Yerevan and their causes" will be discussed at the meeting and statements by the co-rapporteurs on Armenia George Colombier and John John Prescott will be heard.

Besides that, an oral report on results of Ukraine co-rapporteurs December 7-9 visit to the country and pre-election mission carried out on November 24-27 and also issues related to Bulgaria, Moldova, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be discussed. At the meeting, members of the Committee will be informed of the results of 81st Plenary Session of the Venice Commission, held December 11-12 in Venice.

The next meeting of the Monitoring Committee will be held as part of  PACE Plenary Session January 25-29, 2010 in Strasbourg.
