Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Romanian President Traian Basescu on his re-election as president, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
"I heartily congratulate You on the occasion of re-election as president of Romania. Today, the bilateral relations between Romania and Azerbaijan in various spheres, including political, economic and humanitarian, are developing successfully. Expansion of relations between our countries give their results in regional cooperation and security," the message says.
Azerbaijani President expressed hope that joint efforts for development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania and the strengthening of friendly relations will continue in the future, and wished Traian Basescu health and success in his activities for the prosperity of the friendly people of Romania.
