Ukraine expects Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to visit the country, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk said at the news conference.
"We plan to organize Aliyev's visit to Ukraine," he said, adding that the date of visit will be determined depending on the outcome of the Ukrainian presidential elections.
Ukraine launched the election campaign Oct.19. The election is scheduled for Jan. 1.7
According to Klimchuk, the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission is expected to be held in Kiev after the formation of the Ukrainian government.
In January-October 2009, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine totaled $473.9 million.
