Uzbekistan, Tashkent, December 27 / Trend D. Azizov /
"There is a high degree of organization at all polling stations in Tashkent, where I have already observed the parliamentary election process, which can be achieved only through attentive preparation. The members of the election commissions answer the questions of citizens in detail. Electors vote actively and freely," said the chairman of the committee on social policy of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Hadi Rajabli.
"I got familiarized with the electoral legislation of Uzbekistan and other election documents, as well as the amendments made to them. They not only correspond to international norms, but also reflect the constitutional rights of voters and the democratic principles recognized by the international community," said the representative of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
According to him, establishing Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan and allocating 15 seats for it at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis testify that the country pays great attention to the environmental issues.
"The election process is widely covered by all media outlets, including the Internet. The fact that the voting process is monitored by hundreds of observers and foreign journalists ensures openness and transparency of the parliamentary elections," said Rajabli.
As formerly reported, a delegation of the Azerbaijani parliament observes the elections. The delegation includes the chairman of the committee on agrarian policy of the Parliament Eldar Ibrahimov, chairman of the committee on social policy Hadi Rajabli, MPs Aydin Abbasov, Chingiz Asadullayev and Akram Abdullayev.
In general, around 300 observers from foreign countries and international organizations observe the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan.
