Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 11 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and NGO representatives will meet to name candidates to the post of the Central Election Commission (CEC) chairman at the Sheraton in Batumi.

A meeting scheduled earlier for Sunday was postponed until Jan. 11 due to U.S. Senator John McCain arriving to Georgia.

The president has named three candidates for the post of CEC head. CEC members from the opposition will elect one of three candidates. The candidate will be elected if he receives the support of four of seven opposition parties represented in the committee.
