Azerbaijan and Qatar signed an agreement on visa elimination for diplomatic persons, who have official passports, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend .
The agreement was signed after Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's meeting with his Qatari Counterpart Hamad bin Jasim bin Jabr Al Thani as a part of his official visit to Doha.
During the meeting, the sides mulled issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of interest to both countries.
