Kazakh senior official to visit Switzerland

Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev is expected to visit Switzerland in spring 2010, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ilyas Omarov told Trend .
"During his visit, the minister is expected to sign several bilateral documents aimed at further development in various areas of cooperation," he added.
He said Kazakh Foreign Ministry's Executive Secretary Rapil Joshibayev mulled Saudabayev's upcoming visit with the interior and foreign ministers of Switzerland in Bern.
"During the negotiations, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the interaction between the two countries under the Kazakh chairmanship of the OSCE and the Swiss chairmanship in the Council of Europe," Omarov said.
The Swiss side congratulated Kazakhstan on assumption of the presidency of the OSCE and assured the country will support all initiatives of Kazakhstan in the framework of its presidency.
