Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will hold a series of bilateral meetings with his colleagues under the framework of his participation in the International Conference on Assistance to Afghanistan, Foreign Ministry spokesman Elkhan Polukhov told Trend .
The conference will aim to solve questions facing the international community about how to help Afghanistan stabilize the situation in the country and create a functioning state. The U.N. is the coordinator of the efforts in this direction.
The minister left for London this morning. He is expected to deliver a speech in the debate at the conference.
At the meeting, the minister will discuss topical issues of bilateral and regional cooperation. One of these meetings is expected to be held with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
In his interview to the Turkish NTV television channel, Davudotlu voiced his intention to discuss recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish relations with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister in London.
