Yesterday, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran Javanshir Axundov met with Hamid Bagayi, assistant to the Iranian president, chief of Tourism and Cultural Monuments Protection Department and chairman of the Center for Free Economic Zones. Advisor to the Center's chairman and press secretary of the Center, Iffat Khanipur, told Trend .
Khanipur said that the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran with regards to free economic zones and tourism. She said that the meeting also covered the issue of passenger transportation by ship in Caspian between Azerbaijan and Iran.
Attended by Bagayi and ambassadors and consuls of the Muslim countries to Tehran, yesterday a conference was also conducted on investment by Muslim countries in Iran's free economic zones. The conference was attended by ambassadors and consuls from 38 Islamic countries.
