Halfback of Uzbek national team and the Tashkent club Bunyodkor Server Zheparov has been included in a list of the most popular players in 2009, the Football Federation of Uzbekistan reported.
The federation explained that the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) included the Uzbek player in the list of 115 most popular soccer players representing 68 countries.
According to the 2008 season results, the Asian Football Confederation named Server Zheparov 'the best player of 2008.' In the 2009 season the player played successfully in the qualifying round of the world championship and Asia, the Asian Champions League, in the national championship and at the National Cup, representing the team 'Bunyodkor.'
