Kazakhstan intends to unify the Turks, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a meeting with the well-known Kazakh women in the Ak-Orda.

"Indeed, the Turkic neighborhood is a very important issue after the Eurasian Union, which I spoke about the Moscow State University in 1994. I have apprehended and felt the status quo that there is no one else to unite the Turks," he said. The president added that it is difficult to Turkey to do it.

"When Turkey is engaged in the unification of Turks, then all around are shouting about Pan-Turkisim, and but there is not a Pan-Turkic ideology in Kazakhstan," he added.

Nazarbayev recalled that once he proposed to establish a Turkic Academy.

"We are already establishing it. We will present this academy in two months when the Turkish President will visit our country," Nazarbayev said.

According to Nazarbayev, the Turkic Academy in Astana will teach the Turkic history and culture. "I want the world to be aware of the Turkic world," the leader concluded.
