A special issue of the Pamir journal was presented in Dushanbe. The issue is dedicated to Kazakh and Tajik cultural and literary relations, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Ilyas Omarov told Trend .
The Kazakh embassy and Tajik Writers Union organized the event.
"Kazakh Ambassador Abutalip Akhmetov delivered a speech, noting the profitable cooperation between the two countries in developing literary relations and organizing translations of world classics," Omarov said.
Kazakhstan works hard to preserve its cultural heritage, the spokesman said.
The event was attended by renowned Tajik writers, poets and literary critics, as well as media and civil society representatives.
