The Caspian countries' foreign ministers' next meeting is expected to take important decisions on the legal status of the Caspian Sea, Iranian Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying by Mehr.
He said that the meeting will take important decisions related to matters concerning the bottom surface, borders and scientific research of the Caspian waters.
This meeting will also decide on the definition of coastal boundaries, he said.
So far, the countries have agreed upon 70 percent of issues related to the Caspian Sea. "We reached the agreement on demilitarization, security and the fight against drugs in the Caspian Sea," the official said.
The Caspian countries' foreign ministers' next meeting will be held in Tehran.
