Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of Greece Karolos Papoulias on the national holiday - Independence Day, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
"I congratulate You and all your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people on the national holiday of Greece - Independence Day. I am confident that the development of Azerbaijani-Greek relations, cooperation within international organizations and projects, steps to strengthen the friendly ties will serve the interests of our peoples," President said in his congratulatory letter.
President Ilham Aliyev wished Karolos Papoulias health, success in activities, the Greek people - peace and prosperity.
