Georgia opens governmental meeting with minute of silence in memory of tragically deceased Polish President

Georgia has launched today's governmental meeting with a minute of silence in memory of tragically deceased Polish President Lech Kaczynski. Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri proposed to pay tribute to Kaczynski who died today in a plane crash.

Georgia has launched today's governmental meeting with a minute of silence in memory of tragically deceased Polish President Lech Kaczynski. Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri proposed to pay tribute to Kaczynski who died today in a plane crash.

"Kaczynski was a great friend of the Georgian people and we express our condolences to the Polish people, friends and relatives of the president." he said

Vice Prime Minister Giorgi Baramidze expressed his condolences, noting that formerly Kaczynski was the initiator of the five president's visit to Georgia during the August events in 2008 and was a great friend of Georgia. "We have always been grateful to him for the unequivocal support and hope that the investigation will provide objective results," he said.
