Today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Relations with Compatriots of Gambia Usman Jammeh, AzerTaj news agency reported.
The President stressed Jammeh's first visit to Azerbaijan at the ministerial level from the Gambia. He expressed confidence in the continuation of bilateral visits in future. President Ilham Aliyev stressed that the visit provides a good opportunity for a broad discussion of bilateral relations and international issues.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Relations with Compatriots of Gambia Usman Jammeh conveyed greetings of Gambian President Yahya Jammeh. Minister said that the Gambian President pays special attention to the development of relations with Azerbaijan. Usman Jammeh stressed that this visit is very important for his country. He expressed hope for effective negotiations on the prospects of bilateral relations.
Azerbaijani President thanked Yahya Jammeh for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Gambian President.
