Azadliq bloc will not take part in the Round Table, to be held at the initiative of Azerbaijani opposition party.

"We think that several parties represented in this bloc are not serious. Their participation in the meeting is unacceptable", Azerbaijani Party of National Independence secretary for press and propaganda Ali Orujov told Trend.

Orujev said that despite this, they want to participate in the discussions of Azerbaijani Popular Front Party's leadership. "We think this party is a serious political organization. But we could not send a separate invitation, as the party is a member of this bloc," he said.

Discussions will be held with the joint participation of the opposition in the parliamentary elections at a meeting with representatives of the Union for Democracy and the Musavat party, he said. "Other opposition parties represented in the parliament were invited to the discussions", the party secretary said.

Azerbaijan National Independence Party has recently made a proposal to hold a round table on "Opportunities for cooperation of opposition parties".

NIPA was established in 1992. This is the first party in Azerbaijan which passed state registration.

After resignation of party chairman Etibar Mammadov in late 2004, the party split. Some members of the NIPA were dissatisfied when Ali Aliyev headed the party and left it.

Currently, Mammadov is deputy chairman of the International Democratic Union (MDS).
