Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov received Pakistani Defense Secretary Syed Athar Ali, the ministry reported.
Ali appraised Azerbaijani-Pakistani political relations. He also noted the importance of economic and cultural cooperation, and underscored Pakistan's supports for Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Welcoming Athar, Khalafov noted the potential to develop Azerbaijani-Pakistani cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres. He said using this potential will help deepen ties. Khalafov said the country appraises Pakistan's support to Azerbaijan's just position in Azerbaijan-Armenian Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution.
