The Azerbaijani Consulate General hosted a congratulatory ceremony on behalf of the leadership of Los Angeles County. Local officials presented a letter of commendation to Azerbaijani Consul Elin Suleymanov. They also noted former Azerbaijani President and national leader Heydar Aliyev's contribution to establishing an independent Azerbaijan.
The consulate also received congratulations from Orange County officials.
