Today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended XVII International Exhibition and Conference on "Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemicals" held in Baku, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The President cut the red ribbon symbolizing the opening of the exhibition, and familiarized with the exhibition center.
A wide range of machinery and equipment for oil, gas and petrochemical industries, production of oil and gas industry, new technologies and services are demonstrated at the exhibition.
The area of the exhibition increased by 15 percent compared to the last year.
About 280 companies from 26 countries participate there. Well-known foreign companies take more than 40 percent of the exhibition. Most of them are permanent members of the exhibition.
President Ilham Aliyev spoke at the opening and got acquainted with the pavilions of the exhibition.
