A basic draft on amendments to Georgia's constitution will be considered by the Venice Commission at the plenary session June 4-5.
According to Georgia's Constitutional Commission press service, chairman of the commission Avtandil Demetrashvili, its members Levan Bodzashvili and Dmitri Dzagnidze will attend the session.
A draft prepared under the leadership of chairman of the Commission was adopted as the basis variant at the meeting of the state constitutional commission May 11.
In accordance with the draft, president and executive power's functions are outlined and balanced; functions of the parliament in terms of a complete set of executive power, and control of the President and the government are increased.
