Two citizens of Azerbaijan, Garaoglan Guliyev and Maharram Orudzhev, who were detained on board a humanitarian convoy "Freedom flotilla" arrived in Baku from Tel Aviv.

Two citizens of Azerbaijan, Garaoglan Guliyev and Maharram Orujov, who were detained on board a humanitarian convoy "Freedom  flotilla" arrived in Baku from Tel Aviv.

According to Orujov, who was on board of the Defne Y ship belonging to the Turkey's waqf, they were forbidden to sail to Gaza and the vessel was towed to the port of Ashdod. Later they were taken from Ashdod to Tel Aviv.

"Passengers of the ship did not attack Israeli Navy and there were not any weapons on the board of the ship", said Orujov.

Orujov also said that during his detention there wasn't used any violence to him and that detainees were kept in normal conditions. He refused to talk about details.

Azerbaijani citizens on board the "Freedom  flotilla" were not activists. Maharram Orujov worked on the ship more than 3 years.

June 30 human rights activists organized a campaign convoy of six ships, which carried thousands of tons of humanitarian cargo to Gaza Strip. "Freedom Flotilla" was intercepted Monday night by Israeli navy. During the operation, nine members of  convoy were killed, dozens were injured. Seven Israeli soldiers faced with fierce resistance by members sailing have also received injuries.
