President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Spindelegger and his accompanying delegation, AzerTAj State News Agency reported.
The Austrian top diplomat delivered to the Azerbaijani Leader greetings and a letter from President of Austria Heinz Fischer
The Minister said he is impressed by the monuments and amenities he saw in Baku. According to Spindelegger, the meetings he had here are effective in terms of discussing bilateral relations. He pointed out Austrian companies are interested in investing in and trading with Azerbaijan.
He expressed hope for high-level cooperation between the two countries.
President Ilham Aliyev underlined there is good potential to develop bilateral relations and implement economic, investment projects. He expressed assurance that Austria-Azerbaijan relations would continue to expand.
The Head of State asked the Minister to pass on his greetings to Austrian President Heinz Fischer.
