The Center for Strategic Research (CSR) under the Azerbaijani President hold the presentation of research work of Director of political and economic center of the University of Washington, Professor Norman Schofield, Professor of Economics at the University of Essex Lawrence Ezrow and professor of public administration Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada Maria Gallego on the theme "Social order and democracy" June 29.

During the presentation, Professor Schofield spoke about political leaders and elections in Russia, Turkey, Poland and Israel.

Professor Schofield SAID every country has its own electoral system, which leads to the victory of a party at the polls. The election campaign focuses on issues such as status of women, social attitudes to abortion, as well as economic issues in the U.S. The focus of the campaign is paid to religious and nationalist reviews of the parties in Turkey and Israel, while in the UK - to cooperate with the European Union, Schofield said.

In his research work, Schofield based on a variety of sources such as official statistics and survey. He believes the election campaign in these countries - is a game, and often political parties won at the expense of the fact that they form a coalition government.

During the presentation, Professors Gallego and Ezrow presented reports on the topic "Civil society and political parties: the importance of political representation in electoral system" and "Models of elections in the Netherlands, Canada and Britain".
