President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received a delegation led by Vice-Chairman and President of GDF SUEZ, President of EUROGAS Jean-Francois Cirelli, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
Jean-Francois Cirelli said they were impressed by development processes in Azerbaijan as well as the prosperity and stability reigning in the country. He highlighted his company`s operations in Europe, saying it was interested in expanding the cooperation with Azerbaijan on gas.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the cooperation between GDF SUEZ and the Azerbaijan State Oil Company, expressing confidence it would be further expanded.
The Azerbaijani leader said Jean-Francois Cirelli's visit to the country would create good opportunities "to conduct fruitful discussions on the issues related to our cooperation".
