Political parties will never unite in Azerbaijan, chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Araz Alizadeh told Trend.
"Azerbaijan has no political culture of uniting into blocs. Today, all parties came from the Popular Front. They did not separate to re-unite. They separated for the personal ambitions of their leaders," Alizadeh said.
He said that political parties will never unite because of the failure to provide personal ambitions of opposition leaders.
"It is impossible for left or other parties to unite in Azerbaijan, as they are not created on ideological basis, but on the personal ambitions of leaders of the opposition, the party chairman said.
Opposition parties have not agreed yet despite unification of opposition parties into a single unit in the upcoming early November parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan was submitted for discussion.
