Batumi to host int'l conference

The Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry is organizing an international conference on "Local and Regional Development in Europe: Current Challenges" at the Sheraton Palace Hotel in Batumi July 8-9. The event is organized together with the Council of Europe and GTZ, CEGSTAR and NALAG.

The Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry is organizing an international conference on "Local and Regional Development in Europe: Current Challenges" at the Sheraton Palace Hotel in Batumi July 8-9. The event is organized together with the Council of Europe and GTZ, CEGSTAR and NALAG.

The conference is dedicated to the European Charter of Local Self-Government. Participants will discuss international experience and practice with local self-government.

The conference will bring together 150 participants from the South Caucasus and Council of Europe countries, Georgian Regional Development and Infrastructure Minister Ramaz Nikolaishvili, MPs and international experts.

Georgian Presidential Administration head David Tkeshelashvili will also attend.
