The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's leadership and personnel led by Minister Elmar Mammadyarov visited the Alley of Honors to lay flowers at the tomb of Azerbaijan`s National Leader Heydar Aliyev in connection with their professional holiday July 9. The presidential order says:" Given the role of national diplomacy in the development of the first Democratic Republic in the Muslim world and the process of building an independent Azerbaijani state at the present stage and guided by the adoption of the interim statement on the Foreign Ministry Secretariat of the Azerbaijan Republic July 9, 1919, I order to celebrate July 9 as professional holiday of the diplomats of Azerbaijan every year. "
Then, they visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.
