Azerbaijan, Baku, July 9 / Trend T. Hajiyev /
Azerbaijan can create a new opposition bloc, the Party of Citizens and Development chairman, Azadliq bloc member, Ali Aliyev said.
"Our goal is to keep Azadliq bloc. We want to protect this bloc. It is unknown whether we will manage or fail. Time will tell how events will develop. If something happens, establishment of a new bloc is likely to be discussed. If it deals with establishment of the electoral bloc in future, it can happen only after the situation will be clarified within the bloc, " Aliyev said.
There was the information about split in Azadliq bloc.
Azadliq bloc is represented by three opposition parties - Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Liberal Party of Azerbaijan and the Party of Citizens and Development.
"We prefer not to talk about problems within the bloc. We try to resolve all issues within the bloc itself. If the press is discussing the matter so thoroughly, it means that there is something here. It must be eliminated," Aliyev said.
The Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be held in November this year. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral districts.
