The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has distributed information in connection with non-return of the body of the deceased serviceman.
The statement issued on July 9 by the chief of press service of the Defence Ministry, Colonel-Lieutenant Eldar Sabiroglu says that Armenia was many times informed by international organizations about the position and demands of Azerbaijan to return the body of the deceased ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov. Despite this, they chose a cruel way of revenge, openly denying all the humanitarian and basic human norms.
The Armenian armed forces opened fire on Azerbaijani soldiers June 19. Four Armenian military men were killed and four were wounded in the crossfire. Azerbaijani serviceman Mubariz Ibrahimov was killed. His body remained in neutral territory.
His body has not been handed over to the Azerbaijani side yet. Armenian press, referring to the Armenian defence ministry, circulated information that the defence ministry of Azerbaijan has not appealed for returning dead body of Mubariz Ibrahimov.
Sabiroglu told about false reports by defence ministry of Armenia.
"Over the past two days, the hypocritical statements by the press service of defence ministry of Armenia have had a significant place for all news agencies and press. They report that as though Azerbaijan has not applied formally to Armenia for returning the body of killed Mubariz Ibragimov. Knowing the nature of Armenians, I am absolutely not surprised at this. Because denying everything, looking in eyes, is a rule of morality for them," the statement says.
