Georgia will today hold the first certification exams of teachers. The certification exams will cover 14,000 teachers, Education and Science Minister Dmitri Shashkin told journalists.
These tests will be voluntary within 5 years. The wages of the certified teachers will be increased and they will have the opportunity to work mentors-teachers.
The exam will begin at 09:00 [local time] and testing will last for 5 hours. Teachers will take the exam on the Georgian language, mathematics and foreign language.
