Musavat party had burned up all the bridges and it is impossible to unite, 'National Unity' Movement Leader Lala Shovkat told Trend. She commented on Musavat party's decision to establish the electoral bloc with the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA).

"I expected such a decision. Earlier at the bloc's meeting, I told PFPA Chairman Ali Karimli that we will not interfere in the party's unification with Musavat. But, the Liberal Party can not unite with Musavat, because Musavat burned up all the bridges," Shovket said.

The Azadlig bloc members the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) and the Musavat party decided to establish the electoral bloc.

Shovkat said she informed Karimli about the impossibility of cooperation with Musavat even in January.

"We met with Karimli in March and then my each word, every interview was interpreted differently. To avoid speculation, I told Karimli that I am taking a break March 11. I completely stopped talking with the media to PFPA determine with the point of view and make a decision. I was expecting this decision. I wish them every success and all the best. I said in January that if the PFPA unites with Musavat, the Azadlig bloc will not operate. Therefore, the Azadlig bloc ceased functioning," Shovkat said.
