Ex-Parliamentary Speaker and Democratic Movement - United Georgia Party Leader Nino Burjanadze is using several Georgian media outlets.
She will file her claim against the Rustavi-2 television channel, the Prime Time newspaper and the Droni.dzhi online publication for providing misleading information about her property affairs, Burjanadze's spokesman Khatuna Ivanashvili said.
Droni.dzhi reported that the former speaker purchased a cottage using funds worth $1.8 million transferred from Moscow to Kiev and then to Tbilisi. The funds were paid to Burjanadze for "confidential information," the media outlets reported.
Ivanishvili said the claim will soon be filed.
