Iran's role in security and economic development of Afghanistan is undeniable. "But we do not consider right Mottaki's accusing NATO and U.S. forces of creating instability in Afghanistan, and we have a different opinion on this matter," said the spokesperson of Afghan Presidential Administration Hamid Elmi.

International conference on economy and security in Afghanistan started this morning in Kabul, BBC reported. The conference is attended by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the foreign ministers of more than ten countries and the heads of about 60 international organizations.
At the international conference held in Kabul, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki sharply criticized the presence of foreign forces in Afghanistan. Mottaki said that the presence of foreign forces in Afghanistan not only did not help resolve the problems of this country, but even added problems.

Iran has not participated at conferences on the security of Afghanistan, held in Paris and London.
Hamid Elmi assessed Iran's participation at the conference as a positive step. "We have listened to Iran's proposals for Afghanistan and will attentively study them," he said.

According to Elmi, together with the forces of the Afghan National Army, the foreign forces have always played a major role in ensuring security in the country. "The Afghan government can not lonely combat terrorism, the Taliban and Al-Qaeda and to destroy terrorism in the region, all countries should help the government and people of Afghanistan," spokesperson of the Afghan Presidential Administration Hamid Elmi told by telephone on July 20.
According to him, one of the ways to combat terrorism is to improve the economic infrastructure of Afghanistan. "It is possible to achieve prosperity of the Afghan economy through aid of the countries worldwide, especially countries in the region such as Iran, China and Russia," said Elmi.

According to the spokesperson, with its geographical location, Afghanistan can become a transit country for the region. With the construction of highways, development of trade, shipping and road safety, countries in the can help the development of Afghanistan," said Elmi.
