A delegation of the Polish Interior Ministry is in Georgia with the support of the International Organization for Migration to exchange experience.

High-ranking delegation members held a meeting on borders monitoring and combating illegal migration in the Georgian Interior Ministry. The Polish side was informed on the activities held in this direction in Georgia. The sides reiterated the importance of bilateral cooperation.

From the Georgian side the meeting was attended by Director of Patrol Police Department Giorgi Grigalashvili, head of Main Department of International Relations Shalva Kvinikadze and Border Police's representative David Akhvlediani.

At the conclusion of the meeting the sides agreed to expand cooperation and work on new projects.

About 3,000 Georgian illegal immigrants are in the Polish camps, who from time to time return to their homeland by charter flights.
