Regional security issues and the U.S. role in its provision were discussed by the Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili at a meeting with Assistants for US Congressmen, who arrived on a visit to Georgia.

Regional security issues and the U.S. role in its provision were discussed by the Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, State Minister for Reintegration Temur Yakobashvili at a meeting with Assistants for US Congressmen, who arrived on a visit to Georgia.

"I discussed with them issues of regional security and the U.S. role in its provision, which is primarily related to ensuring stability in conflict zones," Yakobashvili said.

He said that the meeting with the American delegation is very important because "these people prepare decisions and statements of congressmen, and they need to know about the real situation in the region as a whole, and in zones of conflict."
